Good Grief Workshop for Children and Teens 2015-04-25 09:00 - 2015-04-25 14:00
Mount Royal Commemorative Services are pleased to offer our Good Grief Workshop for Children and Adolescents who have experienced the death of someone close to them. This free workshop is for children and adolescents 4 – 16 years old.
Age-specific groups led by a team of trained volunteers will provide a group format to help children understand and express their grief. The workshop will involve structured activities that are designed to give children the opportunity to share their feelings with other grieving children, learn from each other, and honour the memory of the person who died.
On the same day, we also offer a concurrent Parent Discussion Group to give parents/guardians the opportunity to discuss the topic of children’s grief.
This workshop will take place on:
Saturday, April 25, 2015
Because we strive to provide a safe and secure space to all our participants, we strongly encourage that you arrive on time and understand that because our activities promote connectedness within the respective groups, the doors will be closed at 9:45 sharp, and all late comers arriving after 9:45 will be turned away.
To register a child, please call by April. 20, 2015: 514 - 279 -7358
